Community Based Opportunities
The community of Caledonia offers many opportunities for students to grow and flourish throughout their school careers and beyond. Whether your student prefers to participate in sports, STEM activities, or the arts, their needs will be satisfied by the broad range of quality programs offered. Please explore the links on this page to find out more information.
Community Events Submission
Caledonia Community Schools (CCS) accepts digital flyer submissions from nonprofit and local youth organizations for non-curricular activities that provide social, recreational, or educational value for students and are free of political undertones (see Board Policies 9700, 5722, 9700.01).
Where Community Events Appear
Approved events are posted on the district’s Community Events webpage as a brief event listing. CCS does not post or distribute submitted flyers, send paper flyers home with students, or distribute flyers directly to families.
Organizations may submit a flyer as part of their request to provide CCS with event details. Information from the flyer will be used to create a short description for the Community Events webpage.
Eligibility
We typically accept:
- Events and programs from nonprofit or local youth organizations that are open to students and/or families
- Opportunities that provide a general community benefit, including social, recreational, or educational activities
We cannot promote:
- Content with political advocacy or undertones
- Faith-based instructional programming due to the separation of church and state
- Commercial advertising or for-profit promotions
Note: Faith-based organizations are welcome to submit non-instructional, neutral community events that meet the criteria above.
How to Submit
- Use the Community Event Submission Google Form to provide your event information. You may also upload a flyer (PDF, PNG, or JPG) as a reference to help CCS create the website listing.
Timing: Please submit your information at least five business days before your desired post date. Two weeks in advance is preferred.
All submissions are reviewed before publication. CCS will determine the content and format of each website listing and reserves the right to decline, edit, or remove postings at its discretion.

Please note that the community events listed below are not sponsored or endorsed by Caledonia Community Schools. Event information is shared on behalf of local organizations as a resource for students and families.
